North Austin

While many would argue that Dell Computers put North Austin and Round Rock on the map, today, the number of tech giants with offices up North make living near this area extremely desirable! Apple, Microsoft, Invidia, Facebook, Amazon, Indeed, Expedia, Cisco, and National Instruments just to name a few! In 2007 the Domain was launched as primarily a retail development, however, it has since turned into a tech company hub with continued office building development. While zoning regulations keep skyscrapers from being built, it nevertheless is being taunted as Austin’s second downtown.  Highly desirable neighborhoods nearby include Northwest Hills, Westover Hills, Great Hills, and Highland Hills for over $600k homes.  More affordable options include Mesa Park, Milwood, Barrington Oaks, Oak Knoll, Balcones Woods, and others.  Plan on looking at homes built from the 1960s-1990s.
